Inter-Faculty Basketball Tournament

A 6-day Interdepartmental Basketball tournament was organized at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, a prestigious college of Sarada Group Institutions. Director Physical Education Dr. Rajesh Kaharwar told that eight teams from different engineering departments of the college took part in this tournament. The tournament was held under floodlights. The final match of the tournament was played between the faculty members of Computer Science Engineering and the faculty members of Biotechnology departments.

In which the Computer Science Engineering departement defeated the Biotech Engineering department by a margin of 31 - 16 and won the tournament. Mr. Utkarsh contributed 14 points, Mr. Dheeraj contributed 8 points from the winning team. At the same time, Mr. Kapil and Mr. Rachit excelled in the defensive game. On the other hand, Mr. Amanjeet contributed 16 points from the runner-up team and the performance of Mr. Amit, Mr. Nikhil, Mr. Amwikesh, Mr. Arpit and Mr. Aditya were commendable. Earlier the first semi-final was played between the Faculty members of Biotechnology and Faculty members of Mechanical Engineering departments. Biotechnology department defeated Mechanical Engineering department by a score of 24 - 20 in a struggling match.

At the same time, in the second semi-final, the Faculty of Computer Engineering defeated Electronics and Communication department by a margin of 29 - 10 to enter the finals. The judges of this tournament were Dr. Rajesh Kaharwar, Mr. Utkarsh, Mr. Kapil Gautam, Mr. Prakhar, Mr. Deepak, and Mr. Prajwal. On this occasion Dr. V. K. Gupta, Mr. Shankar Thakar, Mr. Vijay Katta, Mr. Guddu Singh were present .
