Anand College of Pharmacy, SGI recently conducted a Virtual Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) on 1st December 2023 focusing on the B. Pharm. final year students. The meeting served as a vital platform for addressing academic progress, fees, and attendance concerns. During the PTM, Class Counsellors of B. Pharm. final year Dr. Vasundhara Saxena (Associate Professor), Mrs. Aastha Sharma (Assistant Professor), and other subject teachers discussed the academic progress of B. Pharm. final year students. Both strengths and areas requiring improvement were highlighted, offering parents valuable insights into their child's performance. Individualized feedback and constructive suggestions fostered a collaborative approach to academic development. Concerns related to fees were thoroughly addressed, and Mr. Vikas Sharma (Registrar) presented a detailed breakdown of the fee structure. The transparent discussion aimed to ensure parents clearly understood the financial aspects of their child's education. Attendance shortages emerged as a significant concern, and parents were informed about regular attendance's pivotal role in academic success. Discussions delved into the reasons behind attendance issues, with an emphasis on collaborative efforts between parents and the college to identify and address any underlying challenges. Parents promised the counselors that their wards will attend the college regularly. Prof. (Dr.) K. J. Gohil, Dean proposed several action plans and recommendations to address concerns raised during the PTM. These included implementing additional academic support programs, conducting regular counseling sessions for students facing challenges, enhancing communication channels, and implementing stricter attendance monitoring with support systems for students in need.
