Anand College of Pharmacy organized a one-day industrial visit for B. Pharm. final and third-year students to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., located in Sonipat Haryana on 2nd December 2023. The primary objectives of this visit were to provide students with practical insights into pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory compliance within the probiotics industry. More than 80 students participated in the visit. The visit commenced with an introduction to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., followed by a presentation by Ms. Swati Yadav (Asst. Manager HR, Yakult Danone) offering students an overview of the company's history, mission, and vision. Yakult Danone India Pvt Ltd. also offered students a welcome drink. The session also included a briefing on the various probiotic products manufactured by the company. Following this, students were guided through the intricate manufacturing process of probiotics, gaining a comprehensive understanding of each stage. Students had the opportunity to observe the inner workings of the quality control laboratories, learning about the crucial parameters involved in maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products. The visit was coordinated by Mr. Ashutosh Solanki (Asst. Prof.). The students were accompanied by Tour coordinators, Mr. Gurvinder Pal Singh (Asst. Prof.), Mr. Gaurav Singh Sikarwar (Asst. Prof.), Mr. Ashutosh Solanki (Asst. Prof.) and Ms. Gunjan Sharma (Asst. Prof.). Prof. (Dr.) Kashmira J. Gohil, Dean, Anand College of Pharmacy appreciated Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. for their consent to our students' visit to their facilities and share their expertise with our students and expressed happiness for successfully organizing the industrial tour.
