HIMCS organized one day Online Workshop on Virtual Labs

Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies in Collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur organized a Workshop on Virtual Labs in an online mode, for the Faculty members & Students from MCA Department. The aim of this initiative was to introduce educators to the benefits of Virtual Labs, which offer simulation-based experimentation for teaching various scientific and engineering concepts. Director of the Institute-Dr. Naveen Gupta expressed gratitude to IIT Kanpur for conducting the workshop and stressed the project’s goal of providing access to simulation-based labs to overcome the lack of physical lab facilities and trained teachers. Workshop was conducted by Senior Project Associates from IIT-Kanpur Mr. Vinay Kumar Tripathi and Mrs. Suman Tripathi. The workshop featured interactive sessions where the Virtual Labs outreach team explained various experiments across different disciplines. They aimed to equip faculty members with the knowledge and skills to conduct online experiments effectively. The key speakers from IIT-K discussed the model for simulation-based labs and training methodologies for students. They also encouraged students to get selected for IIT internships which would aid in their career. Welcome address and vote of thanks given by MCA HoD & Virtual lab coordinator Mr. Prashant Kumar Sharma. The workshop was attended by faculty members Mr. Sachin Kr Jindal, Mr. Amit Sharma and Mrs. Neha Singh along with the students of MCA.
