The final year students of Electronics and Communication Department, Hindustan College of Science and Technology. A project was made to improve the response of microwave low pass filters by using different patterns by the students (Abhay Goel, Aastha Garg and Hemant Parihar) under the guidance of Mrs. Deepti Gupta.

Project’s guide Mrs. Deepti Gupta said that this project is related to the microwave domain of electronics and communication engineering, after studying the previous research papers related to microwave, we have come to the conclusion that there is a lack of related studies. She said that the cutoff frequency of the six-sided low pass filter is 1.5 GHz, so carried forward his research on the frequency, she explained that microwave filters are completely different from normal filters because they have a distributed element for that purpose which we achieved by studying David M’s book. She explained that we started this research by a snub-based approach and the method of Kuroda detection poser and transformation which is based on the project micro strip line and plays an important role in many radiofrequency and microwave fields. This frequency falls under the L band of the microwave band, so it is useful for L-band applications. Curiosity increases when we get results close to our expectations and we begin to analyze deeply and get knowledge about CSRR elements which is complementary ring resonator and digs which is faulty ground structure and then we elaborate and start designing filter by making a CSRR ground of filter we use 3 CSRR, 5 CSRR . She explained that we have selected DGS in several types as Periodic, Non-periodic, Cylindrical, Dump bell and Design, accordingly using 3 and 5 CSRR gives us different and better results. Some of which are good in terms of quality and ripples. She said that this will now improve the signals of mobile, Wi-Fi and DTH and will get rid of problems like call drops.

Director of the Institute Dr. Rajeev Kumar Upadhyay congratulated the students and their guiding team who succeeded in the project and also assured all possible help to improve its quality by working more on this action plan in future also.
