Youth Conference 2018 @ HIMCS

Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies hosted one day Youth Conference on the theme ‘Role of Youth in Nation Building’ hosted by, on 18 August 2018, to commemorate the 72nd Independence Day this year. The sub-themes of the Conference were (referred to as 4Ps): ·    Poverty- alleviation ·    Population- curbing growth of ·    Pollution- fighting against it ·    Politics- providing role leadership   The conference aimed to sensitize the youth towards the 4Ps for national development and provide them a platform to share their ideas on the theme. The conference tried to bring together the people of repute in their role of National Development, and the youth of the country, the partners of today and the leaders of tomorrow.During Conference the Dr Naveen Gupta (Director-HIMCS) mentioned that National Development implies all-round and balanced development of the nation. It is the ability of a nation to improve the lives of its citizens. It has become inevitable for young people to believe in themselves; in that they are the future of country and have miraculous power to transform it, and in that they have a vital role to play in National Development. The conference turned into the most fascinated when the social entrepreneur Mr. Abhishek Dubey (Founder- Muskaan Dreams) from Gwalior delivered a talk in front of the youth. He said we need to accept the challenges and should come forward out of the comfort zone to fulfill our dreams. He shared his success story that how he started his work and now running his business in 6 different part of the country. He mentioned that although it’s not just an event; it’s start up and we seek iconic people to join us at the platform and sharing, educating and inspiring youth regularly. Apart from him, Shri A K Saxena (Director-ADRDE, Agra) Dr Anand Rai (Founder-India Rising), Mr. Sunil Khetrapal (President-Traffic Support Team), Col. Z M Khan (Georgians) and Mr Ankur Shankar Gautam (Founder- Prarambh Welfare Association) were the eminent speakers who graced the occasion and elaborated the role of youth in nation building through their own contributions. The event was successfully coordinated by Mr Vivek Tripathi and Dr Siddharth Verma (HIMCS Faculty).
