Placements at the Sharda Group

Placements at the Sharda Group of Institutions in Agra Mathura area have picked up rapidly and till date, 580 final year placements have taken place in 150 companies.Sharda Group of Institutions (SGI) is one of North India’s largest educational groups with 3 campuses in Agra and Mathura area, a state of the art university at Greater Noida, 20 colleges,180 acres of sprawling campuses, 20,000+ students on campuses, and 40,000+ distinguished and well-placed alumni.Among the institutions that form the Sharda Group in Agra Mathura, the Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura has recorded 262 placements, the Hindustan Institute of Technology & Management (SGI) Agra has recorded 119 placements, the Anand Engineering College (SGI) Pharmacy College, Keetham Agra have recorded 106 placements and Hindustan Institute of Management and Computer Studies, Mathura has recorded 93 placements.This year, some of the prominent companies that our students participated include the Hitachi Group companies, NTT Group, TCS, Torry Harris, CapitalVia Global Research Limited - Investment Advisor, VVDN Technologies Pvt Ltd, Tommy Hilfiger, Jaro Education, Indian Navy, Indian Army, Duratuf Glass, Ashok Leyland, Deloitte,Berger Paints, Pernod Ricard, Laurent & Benon, Mohan Energy, Ceasefire, Sopra Steria, NIITTech, Akribiz, Polymedicure, Shriram Transport Finance, Hysel, Genpact, Just Dial, Think &Learn, Teleperformance, OMICS, B L Kashyap & Sons, J Mitra & Co, and Life Cell. Speaking on the occasion, Director – Training, Development & Placement, Shri S Choudhury mentioned that this year there have been a few opportunities created for posting students abroad. About 80 students have been offered salary packages more than 5.5 Lac this year, with 6 students offered 9 Lac salary package. The average salary package as of date is about Rs 2.7 Lac/ annum. “We are developing our students in the soft skills, communication, verbal and analytical skills and have a dedicated Training Development Department to look into this aspect. Our Placement Team is focused and working with dedication to pursue the right opportunities for the students.” The Director of Anand Campus, Dr A K Saxena shared a few initiatives taken to improve not only learning but focus on character building. Director HCST, Dr Rajiv Upadhyay attributed the placement due to a renewed focus on each student to improve performance in academics and overall development. Director HITM, Dr Shailendra Singh shared the initiatives that resulted in excellent placement from HITM.
